Interventional Radiology

Born in the 60‘s (Rösch J. et al., JVIR 2003), and as a result of the revolution of Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology (IR) has been evolving ever since. Nowadays, IR offers a minimal invasive solution for a variety of treatments that previously required surgical or invasive intervention. The University Institute Department of Diagnostic, Interventional and Pediatric Radiology (DIPR) offers a platform of collaboration for fruitful interdisciplinary research, providing cutting edge innovative approaches from very accurate tissue sampling to percutaneous and endovascular targeted therapies.
